DAMPENING SOLUTIONS

A good print quality can be obtained using the proper dampening additive. Dampening solutions must to have that characteristics:
- quick sliding along plate
- quick adjustment of water/ink balance
- pH stability
- optimization of surface tension

There are other very important characteristics as: reduction of Isopropyl Alcohol levels, to avoid formation of algae, mould, bacteria in dampening circuits and so long. It is possible to formulate dampening solutions for every type of water (acid, alkaline, sweet, medium hard, hard and from reverse osmosis), for conventional or CTP plates and for using in every type of offset presses:
- roto-offset presses for newspapers
- roto-offset «heatset» presses
- sheet-fed presses
- for small offset presses
